About Medi Assist:
Medi Assist is the largest third-party benefits administrator (TPA) for Health Insurance in India. It processes every 5th health insurance claim in the industry. Every second employee in the country with health insurance is a Medi Assist member. 37 companies out of NIFTY50 are our clients. We work with every single health insurance company in India and process more than 80 lakh claims per year. More than 20,000 cr worth of health insurance premiums are processed by Medi Assist every year. This premium number in itself has doubled over the last 3 and a half years. We have more than 6000 employees on our payroll.
As a TPA, Medi Assist operates at the intersection of insurer, hospital, insurance regulator and consumer and our job is to create value for each of these stakeholders.
1. For the insurers, we deliver best portfolio management, ensuring high retention and lower costs.
2. For hospitals, we are one of the fastest growing credit revenue channels.
3. For the consumers, we ensure best claim experience and lower treatment costs.
4. For the regulator, we ensure that the consumer interest is protected at all times.
Our inorganic growth has been fueled by acquisition of 4 peers, 3 in India and 1 in UK, in the last 3 years. We made our largest acquisition this year (Paramount TPA), which is pending regulatory approval.
Medi Assist is the only listed company in the TPA industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the organization's goals.
- Oversee the execution of key projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide strategic input and analysis on major decisions and organizational changes.
Executive Support:
- Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for the CEO, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for all engagements.
Leadership & Team Coordination:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Assist in the coordination of leadership team meetings, including setting agendas, preparing materials, and following up on action items.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address organizational challenges or opportunities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with leadership teams from both companies to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.
- Serve as the main point of contact for integration-related inquiries.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure transparency and collaboration.
Operational Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO's office and broader organization.
- Implement processes and systems to streamline operations, reduce redundancies, and enhance productivity.
- Monitor organizational performance metrics and provide regular updates to the CEO.
Special Projects:
- Lead or support special projects as assigned by the CEO, providing project management, research, and analysis.
- Ensure that special projects align with the organization's strategic priorities and contribute to overall success.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
- 1-4 years of experience in post-merger integration, running large operations teams or corporate strategy.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a corporate environment
- Experience working directly with C-suite executives is essential.
Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
