We are currently seeking a highly skilled candidate to join our Patent Renewals team . The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, ensuring compliance, and improving efficiency in the renewal process.
Job Responsibilities
Review, interpret, and report patent data errors to stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with IP payments.
Conduct 100% accurate data audits with patent office registers.
Work with large datasets using Excel functions such as IF, SUM, INDEX, MATCH, and VLOOKUP.
Create simple automations using VBA based on business requirements (added advantage).
Compare and analyze large data files to maintain data integrity.
Use advanced Excel formulas to extract, compare, and review datasets efficiently.
Conduct timely reviews and analyses of data integrity reports and complete necessary follow-ups.
Perform reconciliations to ensure clients portfolios are up to date.
Ensure timely validation of renewal reports to guarantee proper renewal due generation in the system.
Support the operations team by addressing clients IP payment data errors and managing IP rules for assigned jurisdictions.
Analyze data trends and utilize metrics for effective reporting.
Collaborate effectively within the IP payment services team .
Regularly review quality reports to ensure no renewals are missed in the system.
Validate Portfolio reports regularly to track new assets and status changes .
Generate and reconcile Symphony-related reports to ensure accuracy in renewals .
Maintain internal databases, tracking tools, and project timelines efficiently.
Contribute to process improvements to minimize errors, enhance quality, and meet SLAs.
Achieve performance goals related to response times, accuracy, efficiency, and other key metrics .
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Science, Commerce, Finance, or Engineering .
Experience: 10+ years of experience; prior exposure to Finance or Intellectual Property (IP) is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess portfolio data and make strategic recommendations.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for client interactions and team collaboration.
Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail for accuracy in renewal instructions and documentation.
Software Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel expertise required); familiarity with patent management software is a plus.
Task Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage expectations, and work independently
