Officer / Assistant Manager - Supply Chain (Non-Medical Purchase)

Role & responsibilities

a) To organize, develop, operate and administer the Purchasing Department.

b) To follow and effectively carry through the procedures of purchasing as laid down by the Management with clear cut objectives to procure equipments, furniture, stationery, etc. at the right price, the right time and the right type.

c) Develop such systems and procedures that will ensure timely supply of surgical / medicines, IT equipments and other equipment, furniture, stationery, etc. at the right price, quality and quantity.

d) Assist the Purchase Committee in developing standards and specifications of all medicines, equipment, furniture, stationery, etc.

e) Invite quotations from established suppliers to ensure competitive prices against standards of quality.

f) Ensure proper co-ordination with all Hospital Departments for the smooth functioning of operations.

g) Ascertain import requirements in advance to ensure timely availability for operations.

h) Take constant sample surveys of products available in the market in order to ensure that the Hospital gets optimum utility at comparative prices and without sacrificing the standards and specifications laid out.

i) Clearance of incoming consignment of goods by rail, road, air, etc.

j) Provide enlightened leadership to ensure teamwork, morals and motivation of purchase staff.

Preferred candidate profile

Any Graduate with minimum experience of 4 years in Non-Medical and F&B Purchase with any NABH/JCI Hospital
