Agriculture Sector Consultant (6-20 yrs)

Experience required: Agriculture sector experience of minimum 3-5 years, especially in crops, dairy and aquaculture.

Strategy consulting experience preferable of 2-3 years minimum.

Role and Responsibilities: Gather and analyse information, formulate and test hypotheses and then support the implementation of recommendations in collaboration with industry stakeholders, including farmers, Farmer producer organisations, agribusinesses, relevant government and private stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to present your findings to senior government officials. You will also be responsible for running independent workstreams end-to-end.

Key Skills:

- Structure ambiguous problems and create hypotheses/analyses

- Synthesize clear takeaways from complex information and develop conclusions using both qualitative and quantitative methods

- Analyse and support initiatives aimed at rural development and economic growth, including agricultural infrastructure, community programs, and local economic impact studies.

- Work effectively with other team members to come up with the best solution and move people and government agencies to act

- Crop, dairy and livestock yield forecasting.

- Agricultural supply chain and logistics.

- Sustainable farming practices and water management.

- New technologies and innovations like precision farming and smart irrigation.
