Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Account Manager with a strong background in accounting and finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as an accountant, with specialized knowledge in GST filing, Tally software, Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), and balance sheet finalization. The role requires a detail-oriented, analytical individual with a solid understanding of financial analysis and credit risk assessment, who can effectively communicate insights across teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Risk Assessment & Analysis:
• Analyze clients' financial statements to assess creditworthiness and evaluate the potential risks involved in extending credit.
• Review and interpret financial records to gauge the overall credit performance of current or potential clients.
• Make informed recommendations on credit limits, terms, and conditions based on financial analysis.
• Accounting & Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and finalize accurate balance sheets in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and ensure all accounts are reconciled and up-to-date.
• Manage GST filing processes, ensuring timely submission and compliance with all tax regulations.
• Review financial records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Use of Tally Software:
• Proficiently use Tally ERP software to manage accounting functions, including financial reporting, ledger maintenance, and reconciliation.
• Ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly and that accounting data is maintained accurately in the system.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the finance, accounting, and risk management teams to provide insights and data that will influence decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the integrity and completeness of financial data.
• Advanced Excel & Reporting:
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and projections using advanced Excel functions (such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and complex formulas).
• Generate ad-hoc reports as required by senior management or other departments

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as an accountant or credit analyst with a strong focus on accounting, GST filing, BRS, and balance sheet finalization.
• Software Proficiency:
• Strong knowledge of Tally ERP software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge & Expertise:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of GST laws and filing procedures.
• Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk evaluation.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations.
• Ability to manage departmental responsibilities and work independently, while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Previous banking experience will be preferred.
