We are seeking an experienced System Server Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in server installation and management, OS-level configurations, and the latest technology implementations. Experience with Sophos firewalls, vCloud systems, Alpha Pro, vCloud Thin Clients, and expertise in backups, system performance, user management, and troubleshooting is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Installation and Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of Windows/Linux servers, ensuring system stability and performance.
• OS-Level Expertise: Perform OS-level installations, configurations, and optimizations, and stay current with the latest updates and technologies.
• Technology Implementation: Evaluate, implement, and integrate the latest technologies to enhance system performance and security.
• Firewall Administration: Configure and manage Sophos firewall systems to ensure network security and compliance.
• Virtualization: Manage vCloud environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimizing virtual resources.
• Thin Client Management: Set up and maintain vCloud Thin Clients to ensure seamless and secure access to virtualized environments.
• Alpha Pro Systems: Administer Alpha Pro systems, handling configuration, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
• System Backups: Implement and manage regular backup procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Performance Management: Monitor and optimize server performance, including managing system load and ensuring that application installations do not negatively impact system performance.
• User Management: Create and manage user accounts, ensuring proper access controls and permissions.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues promptly, particularly under high load conditions or following application installations.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration: Partner with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and new technology rollouts.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Mandatory Proven experience of 2 -4 years in server installation and management, with strong expertise in OS-level configurations, backups, performance management, and troubleshooting along with Experience with Sophos firewalls, vCloud systems, Alpha Pro, and vCloud Thin Clients is required.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization technologies, thin client management, firewall administration, and backup solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize system performance, including handling high load scenarios and application impact.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently under pressure.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Sophos certifications) are advantageous.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Sophos firewalls, vCloud systems, Alpha Pro, vCloud Thin Clients, and expertise in backups, system performance, user management, and troubleshooting is compulsory.
• Experience with additional network security tools and protocols.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation for system administration tasks.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
