SE/AM QA Parts Quality For Gears & Shifts

 

• Should have 3- 5 years of relevant experience post qualification.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes of Gears & Shafts like Hot/ Cold forging, Gear Machining (Hobbing, Shaving, Gear Grinding, Shaping, sizing etc.), CNC Turning, Milling, Drilling, Broaching, Spline Rolling Shot Peening / Blasting, Heat Treatment processes, Gear Inspection like GRT, Gear Measuring machine, CMM, Surface Finish Measurement , Quality Analysis Tools, Gauge R&R etc.

• Industry preference: Automobile Industry

(4-wheeler / 2-Wheeler / Tier-1 Companies)

Responsibilities:

o Practices to improve quality in sustainable manner.

o Strong problem-solving skills using established methodologies including 8-D, 5-WHY.

o Conduct detailed process audits at suppliers end to identify gap areas, recommend necessary action and regular follow ups to ensure implementation of decided action plan.

o New Model Development as per APQP, PPAP system, Process Capability

Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, GD&T, FMEA, ISO-9001 / TS-16949, control plans

Competencies:

o This position is responsible for the coordination of quality control throughout the entire value stream associated with new and current prototype & production process layout, process flow, and poka-yokes for gearing.

o In addition, this position will be responsible for specifying gear inspection requirements, quality levels, monitoring performance levels and aid in program scheduling.

o Have hands on experience in Gears & Shaft components, also Design & implement quality checks & KPI s for Gear development process.

o Author and/or review all gear related procedures and controlled quality documentation within the quality system.

o This position is responsible for PPAP coordination of gear manufacturing facilities and the analysis and disposition of PPAP parts.

o Analyzing Statistical process control (SPC) & operational execution efficiency in the gear lab & production facilities. New Model Parts development stages by application of tools like PFMEA

o Final & In process inspections of gearing for various transmission applications, also validate jigs, gauges & gear cutting tools.

o Participate in product design / development review meetings providing input on gear Quality.

o Benchmarking & performing competitive Gear analysis. Able to troubleshoot and identify root cause and implement countermeasures at supplier end using Quality Tools (5 Why / 8D etc.).

o Able to conduct independent evaluation of Vendor Processes & respond appropriately like fool proofing, kaizen etc. for overall system improvement.

o Able to establish robust manufacturing processes by ensuring process capabilities during & SPC.

o Assist production facilities with development, manufacturing & troubleshooting of Gears, Shafts & splines.

o Able to Interact with suppliers, shop representatives and work in team.

Knowledge of Computer basics, data interpretation and Good Presentation skill to create technical presentations
