Job Description
The role ensures Pet Parent insight application in product development and marketing to support sustained business growth and market leadership.
Focuses on understanding and interpreting pet parents behaviors, preferences, and technical requirements as input for product design, covering product and packaging development to drive the Superior Pet Parent Experience of Mars Pet Nutrition products in the India market . Be adept at using technical tools and analysis methods to derive actionable insights from complex consumer data.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research, analyzing data from diverse sources including trends, social media, customer feedback, and product usage to generate reliable Pet Parent Insights. These insights will define Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), guiding product and experience differentiation.
- Be User Experience Champion: Lead and facilitate discussions around user experience to craft JTBD, creating differentiated experiences, identifying experience priorities, and translating these into strategic proposition designs for the INDIA Operating Entities Market.
- Facilitate front-end framework/DVF discussions with Marketing, RD, and other cross-functional teams to conduct initial assessments and evaluations, providing critical input for Project Charters.
- Input into the Innovation Calendar by leveraging an in-depth understanding of consumer and competitor landscapes, driving product and packaging development, and shaping product and marketing strategies across Emerging Asia markets.
- Monitor and update on industry and competitive trends, including emerging formats. Provide recommendations Competitive Intelligence Oversight for product and packaging improvements to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure all product preparations for Home Use Tests or Consumer Research adhere to standard protocols (Integrity and Compliance ) for reliable results . Coordinate logistics for domestic and overseas test sample shipments in collaboration with Product Development and CMI/Research agencies.
- Manage meticulous record-keeping of test results, conduct detailed research analysis, and generate comprehensive reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Oversee sensory descriptive tests with external panels to ensure product quality and consumer satisfaction align with market expectations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the INDIA representative to collaborate with the Central team
Job Specifications /Qualifications

1. Education Professional Qualification
Bachelor degree in any field, Science or Animal science is preferred.
2. Knowledge/Experience
- 5+ years experience in consumer research and project management
- Strong analytical and research skill
- Marketing or Development field background would be beneficial
