We have been mandated with the below mentioned role for one of our client into Building material industry.
Position: Payroll Manager
Location: Gurgaon
Experience: 7-15 Years
Position Overview:
The incumbent will be responsible for looking after the payroll of 5000-8000 employees. The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing for the organization. This role ensures compliance with legal regulations, accuracy in pay, and timely distribution of employee compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Lead the payroll team in the preparation and processing of accurate and timely payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure the proper calculation and deduction of wages, taxes, benefits, and other garnishments.
- Oversee payroll data entry, adjustments, and reconciliations.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay updated with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, benefits administration, and reporting requirements to ensure the company's compliance.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports, including tax filings, year-end reports (e.g., W-2s, 1099s), and any other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and support audits and address inquiries from internal and external auditors.
Systems and Process Improvement:
- Oversee the use of payroll systems/software, ensuring they are updated and functioning optimally.
- Evaluate payroll processes and implement improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
Employee Inquiries and Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a professional and timely manner.
- Investigate discrepancies or issues with paychecks and resolve them promptly.
