Electrician - IT

Role & responsibilities

• Installation:
• Install electrical systems and components including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and switches in new or existing buildings.
• Install and configure electrical panels, lighting fixtures, and other electrical equipment.
• Maintenance:
• Perform regular inspections of electrical systems, identifying potential issues and making necessary repairs.
• Maintain electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards and are functioning efficiently.
• Replace worn-out electrical components such as circuit breakers, wires, and switches.
• CCTV Installation:
• Install, configure, and set up CCTV cameras, recorders, and other related equipment.
• Set up wiring and connections for both analog and IP-based surveillance systems.
• Ensure proper camera placement for optimal coverage and system performance.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of CCTV systems to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty CCTV equipment, including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and other components.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs:
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems or malfunctions in circuits, panels, and systems.
• Use testing devices (voltmeters, ohmmeters, etc.) to inspect and test electrical components and systems.
• Repair faulty wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and other electrical components.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Follow local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards to ensure all installations and repairs are performed safely.
• Work with safety equipment and adhere to workplace safety protocols.
• Ensure electrical work is compliant with relevant regulations and inspections.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Keep detailed records of installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
• Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor or manager in a timely manner.
• Collaboration:
• Work with other team members, contractors, and engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices or junior electricians when needed.
• Customer Interaction (if applicable):
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and offering recommendations on electrical solutions.
