About the role

As a Manager - Zonal Collection Strategy, you will lead the charge in optimising and executing collection strategies across diverse regions. Your role will involve crafting efficient processes, ensuring seamless coordination with stakeholders and driving performance to meet ambitious financial targets. With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives and ensuring smooth operations across the North Zone.

Key responsibilities

Collections management and strategy:

- Actively monitor and manage collections to meet annual operating plan (AOP) targets (8-10K Crores for North Zone)
- Develop and execute strategies for improving collection efficiencies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals

Forecasting and planning:

- Conduct real-time forecasting, re-forecasting and planning to achieve AOP numbers effectively
- Address reconciliation challenges arising from multiple collations at regional and project levels

Data coordination and consolidation:

- Maintain centralised, standardised data and templates for reviews and monitoring
- Streamline collation efforts across North Zone's diverse projects and geographies

Stakeholder coordination:

- Facilitate smooth coordination among team leaders (TLs), regional collection heads (RCHs) and project teams
- Ensure all stakeholders operate with unified data and processes for consistency and efficiency

Efficiency monitoring and improvement:

- Use real-time dashboards to monitor collection performance and address fresh due efficiencies daily
- Oversee the intensity of outstanding case follow-ups and resolve stuck cases effectively

Review and reporting:

- Conduct detailed reviews of collection performance across NZ's projects
- Provide actionable insights to improve collection processes and achieve parity across zones

Adaptation to regional challenges:

- Address unique challenges in NZ, including construction constraints (e.g., GRAP) and the wide range of project complexities.
- Adapt strategies to the zone's specific needs, leveraging lessons from successful implementations in other zones.

Who are we looking for?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Specialised certifications in data analysis, collections management, or customer service (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are an advantage


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in collections, credit management, or customer relationship management, with at least 2-3 years in a strategic or zonal leadership role
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale collections for diverse geographies and complex projects


Skills:

  • Customer centricity: Ensure timely collections, resolve escalations diplomatically, and prioritise customer satisfaction
  • Strategic planning: Design collection strategies aligned with AOP and conduct real-time forecasting
  • Communication: Collaborate across teams and present insights to stakeholders
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve issues and streamline reconciliation processes
  • Leadership: Manage teams, drive efficiencies, and mentor associates
  • Process Optimization: Standardize templates and enhance collection monitoring
  • Adaptability: Address regional challenges and manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Behavioural Competencies: Show empathy, foster collaboration, and deliver results with integrity
