Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Sales & Store Performance:

  • Support the store head in monitoring the store performance/ROI and suggest methods and provide inputs for store activities (including creating sales budget, sales activities such as old gold / scrap management and product returns) in order to achieve the store target and maintain adherence to the stores annual sales budget
  • Lead business development initiatives for the store to enhance footfall and sales generated from leads
  • Strategize and lead all in-store scheme promotion activities in order to increase scheme purchases
  • Forecast customer walk-ins and footfall in order to predict customer purchasing opportunities for the store
  • Execute end to end activities of exhibition events and logistics (venue, event planner identification, marketing collateral setup, stalls setup etc.) so that the event meets the exhibition sales target for store

Sales Support activities:

  • Oversee the instore repairs and services related to the same (both customer and stock repair) in order to provide best in class service and keep the Malabar promise
  • Supervise the billing and issue of old gold bars to the SCM, as per the processes defined by the SCM team to minimize business disruption
  • Stay up to date on consumers, competitors and market scenario and the impact on MGD products pricing and customer buying behaviours in order to make informed decisions, to improve MGDs position in the market; Use data to conceptualize and recommend campaigns to the Digital Marketing Team
  • Lead the execution of BTL campaigns in the store along with the regional marketing teams and other 3rd party agencies in order to promote the MGD brand and stand out from the competitors
  • Take lead and monitor all customer tele calling activities and other management activities to enhance the generation of customer leads (wedding and non-wedding)
  • Take charge of the wedding leads program for the store by leading partnerships with various wedding service providers (such as halls, beauticians, photographers etc)
  • Monitor the adherence to the marketing calendar in order to align with the marketing goals for the year

Customer Management

  • Implement customer interaction and experience guidelines as set by the retail leadership in order to build relationships and leverage the same to generate leads for the store
  • Oversee customer interactions by the Guest Relations team to ensure premium customer experience for all the customers visiting Malabar Stores

Store Management:

  • Act as the main point of contact to receive non-trade couriers and segregate them by forwarding the couriers to the correct department
  • Regularly monitor the store ambience so that it is adheres to the Visual Merchandising guidelines

Team Development:

  • Communicate job expectations to the team; plan, monitor, appraise and review job contributions in a regular manner
  • Confer with team members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems to facilitate execution excellence
  • Monitor team performance on a continuous basis to identify and develop high performers so as to motivate them, and coach low performers
