Direct and Indirect Technical Sourcing - Procurement/Supplychain/Quality/Production
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Procurement, or a related field. CSCP, CPSM, or other relevant certifications will have added advantage
Professional competencies: As per the Sourcing Competence Matrix : Negotiations, SAP MM, Logistics, Quality Management, Legal contract management knowledge, Cost Analysis, Intercultural Competences, Professional business behaviour, Technical Knowledge, R&D Processes. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
Language skills: English Hindi/Marathi
Major responsibilities:
- 50% New Product Introduction and Existing product Localization Sourcing "Category Analysis: Conduct spend analysis, and supplier evaluation to identify opportunities for New Product Introduction, Component / product Localization, cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Sourcing Plan Development: Develop comprehensive strategic sourcing plans for new product introductions and existing product / component Localisation ; Including: Prepare Category vision and objective, Market analysis and trends, Identify, Supplier segmentation and evaluation of new suppliers, Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers. Sourcing strategies and tactics.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Engineering, Production and Procurement teams to track progress, monitor performance against established metrics and to ensure timely completion of project objectives and requirements,
- Supplier Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, including: Supplier identification and qualification, Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) development, Price Negotiation, Contract negotiation, Performance metrics and monitoring
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve strategic sourcing plans, ensuring that they remain aligned with business objectives and stakeholder requirements."
- 20% Indirect Sourcing "Develop and implement sourcing plans for indirect categories, such as non production items, spare parts, facilities management, logistics, travel, and professional services. This involves analysing stake holder requirement, Identifying suppliers, Price and contract negotiation and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Cost analysis with a TCO approach, minimizing business risks by limiting single source situation, listening to the market information concerning suppliers financial health and plan accordingly "
- 10% Operations Sourcing Tasks "Secure the interface with Plants and Supply Chain, Quality and with the other concerned internal customers until complete product delivery at the right time, right quality, right quantity and right place within the expectations of our external customers
- Participate in Quality/ Logistics escalation when required.
- Contact supplier to secure deliveries during escalation phases to reduce production stop risks and involve the dedicated technical teams to secure the production continuity. COPQ follow up and cost recovery on regular basis.
- Participate in the product end of like cycle (EOL) process
- Budget & Forecast Preparation
- Check additional production capacity at the suppliers including forecasts, insourcing / outsourcing
- Take responsibility for tool and equipment renewal and dedicated budget costs
- Supports the In & Out Sourcing activities by consolidating the suppliers data and the external costs and potential business risk."
- 10% Process Standardisation "Supports the definition of rules and principles to create appropriate processes within the Operations Sourcing organization.
- Participates in the sourcing manual update according to necessity. Contributes to the standardization of processes. Propose process simplification and harmonize the working methods through all countries to increase efficiency.
- Work actively on the process standardization and optimization to meet our digitalization challenges in order to reduce the administration load of work and to bring productivity
- Develop further the collaborative working together to build the Cross Country Purchasing
- Continue the coordination with other Sourcing or Value Chain / Supply Chain Departments to rationalize our working methods and develop our common interfaces"
- 10% Business Partner "Within the Operations Sourcing organization she/he is the business partner of the Value Chain / Supply Chain organization, actively connect with others Group and Sourcing departments and persuade them about Operations Sourcing initiatives and contribution in order to agree upon common goals and realize them.
- By clear understanding of internal/ external customer needs jobholder is able to sell sourcing added value as enabler of their objectives.
- Feedback actively internal customers needs to Operations Sourcing Team to ensure policy deployment and enable continuous development of Operations Sourcing activities."
