Legal Manager

Job Overview and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing, Negotiating, Vetting Commercial contracts like Business Agreements, Aggregator Agreements, Service Provider Agreements, NDAs, Referral Agreements, Software Licensing Agreements, etc.
• Drafting various legal documents like undertakings, authority letters, declarations, notices, POAs, etc.
• Providing support in customer onboarding by reviewing executed agreements, board resolutions, and other authorization documents. Maintaining trackers for exceptions.
• Contract management including updating trackers and MIS.

Key Qualifications:

• LLB from a reputed university.
• 8-10 years of experience of which at least 6 years of experience with the corporate legal department in a Company.
• Confident demeanor with good drafting skills.

Strong Legal Acumen: Must possess comprehensive knowledge of laws applicable to the fintech/trade finance business, including all relevant amendments and rules. Key legislations include the Indian Contract Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Data Protection and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, Factoring Regulation Act, 2011, Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, and Arbitration Act, 1996. Candidates with additional knowledge and experience in RBI guidelines applicable to fintech/trade finance business, international trade finance and related laws will have an added advantage.
