Assistant Manager - IT (Infrastructure Management and SAP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers,

networking equipment, storage, cloud environments and data centres.

• Ensure 24/7 availability, reliability and security of IT infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage system performance, ensuring timely maintenance, updates

and backups for all infrastructure components.

• Manage disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity processes, ensuring

regular testing and updates to DR plans.

• Ensure compliance with information security policies and industry standards,

particularly in the areas of network security, firewalls, access controls and data

protection.

• Support the SAP landscape, including managing system health, ensuring high

availability and providing day-to-day support for SAP modules.

• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to resolve SAP system

issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.

• Ensure the smooth integration of SAP systems with other enterprise applications.
• Support SAP system upgrades, patch management and system backups and

recovery.

• Coordinate with Technical and functional teams to optimize system performance and

address technical issues.

• Lead or assist in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects, including

hardware refreshes, system migrations and cloud transformations.

• Provide leadership for the implementation and upgrades of SAP systems,

ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and

support for IT infrastructure and SAP projects.

• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring effective procurement of IT infrastructure

hardware, software and services.

• Manage IT security infrastructure (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, etc.) to

protect the organizations data and systems from unauthorized access, threats or

vulnerabilities.

• Work with the Information Security team to perform periodic security audits and

assessments.

Lead and mentor junior IT staff, providing guidance on best practices for

infrastructure and SAP management.

• Work closely with the SAP functional and technical teams, offering support for

configuration, customization and issue resolution.

• Facilitate the training and development of IT personnel to enhance their skills and

capabilities in IT infrastructure and SAP system management.

• Establish and monitor KPIs for IT infrastructure and SAP performance, providing

regular reports to management.

• Oversee the company's CCTV system, ensuring the proper installation,

configuration, and maintenance of cameras, recording devices, and monitoring

systems.

• Proactively identify potential infrastructure risks and take preventive action to

mitigate downtime and operational disruption.

• Provide detailed reports on system performance, IT budgets and project status.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

• 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with hands-on experience

managing SAP systems.

• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP S/4HANA systems, including SAP Basis

administration, SAP integration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with network infrastructure, storage systems, virtualization

technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

• Knowledge of server management, backups, disaster recovery and IT security

protocols.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both infrastructure and

SAP-related issues.

• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects

simultaneously.

• Knowledge of CCTV systems (e.g., camera setup, DVR/NVR management, video

monitoring, and storage systems).

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-

technical stakeholders.

• Certifications in SAP, Cisco, Microsoft or ITIL are preferred.
