Senior Business Analyst (Hedge Accounting)

Project Description:

• As a Business Analyst specializing in Hedge Accounting, you will play a key role in understanding and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, you will analyze and document business processes related to hedge accounting, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions. The successful candidate will bring a combination of business acumen, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of commercial lending practices.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document hedge accounting requirements.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information from various stakeholders.
Analysis and Documentation:
Analyze and document existing hedge accounting processes, workflows, and business rules.
Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation.
Data Analysis:
Work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights related to hedge accounting performance.
Analyze credit risk, loan portfolio trends, and other relevant financial metrics.
Solution Design:
Develop detailed business requirements and specifications for hedge accounting system enhancements.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement technical solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business users, IT teams, and other relevant departments.
Provide ongoing support and clarification on requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Participate in testing activities to ensure that hedge accounting solutions meet business requirements.
Conduct user acceptance testing and facilitate resolution of any identified issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in hedge accounting.
Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems.

Mandatory Skills Description:-Extensive experience in the banking domain as well as knowledge of risk and finance terminologies (min. 6 years).
-Good knowledge and understanding on hedge accounting, derivatives, and fixed income products.
-Experience of applying business analysis tools and technique with background of delivering business analysis in a technology or IT function
-Experience of banking projects along with knowledge of reporting or ETL applications
-Proficient with SQL.
