We are looking for Mid-Level Fund Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of fund accounting, ensuring accurate and timely NAV reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role involves working with a team of fund accountants, coordinating with various departments, external vendors and contributing to meet organization goal.
Fund Accounting Oversight:
- Oversee the preparation and review of NAV, financial statements, fund valuations, and performance reports for multiple funds.
- Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts, including reconciliation of investment positions and cash balances.
- Monitor and manage the accounting and reporting processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all fund accounting activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal controls. Prepare and review regulatory filings and reports, including regulatory filings, tax reports, and other compliance-related documents.
NAV Reporting:
- Prepare / Review NAV including computation of management fee / performance fee, fund performance analyses and share reports with investors and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fund accounting operations.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure consistency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio managers, compliance officers, and external fund administrator, RTA, auditors, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Communicate complex accounting concepts and financial information effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
Project Management:
- Lead or participate in special projects related to fund accounting, including system upgrades, process enhancements, and integration initiatives.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, errors, and issues in a timely manner.
- Provide analytical support for resolving complex fund accounting issues and inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Education: CA / MBA / master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; or relevant professional certification preferred.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in fund accounting or related financial management roles.
Skills:
A strong understanding of fund accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for AIF CAT II & III / PMS is preferred. Experience in credit, infrastructure, or real estate funds would be an added advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
