Assistant Manager - Production (Chakan Plant)

Role & responsibilities

Ensure delivery on time within cost, quality and service constraints:

Ensures that the monthly sales plan is converted into production plan (monthly, weekly and daily basis)

Ensures isues are highlighted and actions are takin in the daily production planning Conducts internal discussions to review and resolve any official issues in achieving the volume Resolves all production related issues by interacting with materials, quality, methods and maintenance and links up all resources for the same.

Conducts reviews for gap analysis and steps in aat periodic intervals to speed up the production.

Follows up till the material is released to the customer and where necessary co-ordinates for deliverables.

Quality: Ensures adherence to SOPs Ensures the validation of all poko yoke and inter locks and ensures compliance to the same by the manufacturing plan.

Identifies and works with the methods engineering team for process improvements Drives the reduction in assembly line rejections

Facilitates the implementation of world class manufacturing practices and quality management systems in the Product Unit

Ensure s TEI, Cost Control and Productivity Improvements within the PU Facilitates small group activity, quality circles, suggestion schemes for TEI.

Ensures the productivity in the PU is maintained as per the MSE Norms Ensures the overtime is controlled

Drives the reduction in manufacturing scrap and elimination of waste Drives import substitution where relevant Drives cycle time reduction through various improvement efforts Motivates teams to work on quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives and projects Ensures kaizen module teams undertake projects in the areas of Quality and Cost

Others

Studies customer requirements and trends Prepares to meet the same by ensuring availability of necessary resources (Manpower and facilities etc)

Provide resources and manage priorities to facilitate NPI

Ensure operational issues in New product / processes / machine and tools are communicated to Engg Team by the Methods Engineers

Engineering background preferably with post graduate qualification and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
