Were hiring a Manager with expertise in Data Science and Advanced Analytics for our Finance Analytics team at Lowes. You will drive the development and implementation of advanced analytical solutions for FPA functions and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders in India and the US to leverage data-driven insights, solve complex challenges, and propel business growth. Responsibilities Include:
Lead and manage a team of data scientists and analysts, overseeing project assignments, performance evaluations, and development plans.
Mentor and upskill team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and analytical excellence.
Drive team collaboration, establishing best practices, and ensuring the team s technical and professional growth aligns with organizational goals.
Partner with senior leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact analytics initiatives that align with business objectives.
Develop and present data-driven insights and recommendations to executive leadership, clearly communicating complex analyses in an accessible manner.
Design, develop, and deliver advanced analytics and ML solutions, including building sophisticated models and analytical tools that drive data-driven decision-making.
Construct proof of concepts (POCs) to demonstrate the value and potential of ML applications within the finance domain, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Leverage expertise in data science and advanced analytics to address complex business challenges with innovative solutions.
Proactively identify areas where advanced analytics can provide significant value, initiating and overseeing projects that develop and implement new analytics solutions.
Work closely with internal and external partners to evaluate and integrate new tools, techniques, and data sources that enhance the team s analytics capabilities.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships, working collaboratively to drive alignment and understanding of analytics initiatives.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
A bachelor s or master s degree in a relevant field (e.g., data science, statistics, mathematics, finance) is preferred. Advanced certifications in analytics or data science are a plus.
10+ years of experience in advanced analytics, preferably in a finance or related domain, with proven success in delivering impactful business solutions.
3+ years of experience in leading and managing teams in a data science or analytics function, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Proven leadership experience, guiding and mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Extensive hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, including supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection.
Expertise in feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and model evaluation, ensuring robust and optimized model performance.
Strong knowledge of time series analysis and forecasting for predicting trends and patterns in financial data.
Proficiency with analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, and experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
A continuous learning mindset, keeping updated on advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics methodologies.
