The Finance and Accounting team manages Transaction Accounting, Customer and Inventory Accounting, Margin and Cost Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Finance support, Tax and Enterprise Strategic Sourcing for the U.S. and Canada business. The Product Management team builds and manages tech products and solutions for our stores and online channels. And Lastly, our Shared Services team empowers other groups to do their job well. Job Summary:

The Dropship Analyst role focuses on driving medium-to long term improvements within Drop Ship business performance. Functions of the role include generating vendor data analysis, drive Supplier On-time and Fill Rate performance, managing vendor inquiries, and building relationships with vendors and other key cross functional stakeholders within Lowe s.

The successful candidate will be an individual who has the ability to identify and support strategic improvement initiatives for vendor performance, while being able to dive deep into areas of opportunity and develop solutions and processes towards improvements. This associate will work cross-functionally with multiple technical and operational teams within the Lowe s organization.

Superior analytics and process improvement skills are necessary and will be required in order to identify trends in vendor performance and continuously drive improvements to vendor/business performance.

Roles Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drives vendor relationship management for assigned business areas, reviewing vendor performance, engaging with vendors to drive performance across key metrics such as OTIF, cancellations, Returns and Order ageing.
  • Analyze data, understand trends within the data and provide valuable and actionable insights regarding the data
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve supplier performance
  • Execute proactive performance measurement and communication strategy to drive inventory availability and supplier engagement
  • May Lead Execution of data driven projects. Supports in Development and interpretation of such projects
  • Proactively analyze vendor data and identify and address issues
  • Partners with core teams at Lowe s and within the vendor network Merchandising, Supply Chain planning and Replenishment to improve vendor performance and provide teams with data and metrics to ensure vendor performance is considered in business decisions (i.e. Product Line Reviews)
  • Daily, weekly communication with vendors in effort to drive ship on time improvements and reduce cancellations
  • Prepares management level reports

Years of Experience:

Bachelor s Degree; Business or Related Field plus 2+ years relevant experience

OR

Relevant work experience in retail merchandising, inventory planning, vendor performance management, assortment planning or forecasting roles for total of 7-year experience in lieu of education

Education Qualification Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree BBA, Bcom, Operations Research or Related Field

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

  • Experience with data analysis and providing insights about the data
  • Experience managing small to medium sized projects
  • Experience working with Excel and other data/reporting tools
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • Understanding of core supply chain principles

Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Experience in Data mining and visualization tool such as PowerBI, SQL, MS Access, VBA or Excel
