Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Oracle OSM Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Oracle Communications Order and Service Management (OSM), along with strong knowledge of Java, XML technologies, and telecom OSS/BSS solutions. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining OSM solutions for large-scale telecom implementations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement OSM Order orchestration (LOM, COM, SOM modules).
- Configure Order Recognition Rules, Product Specs, Order Components, and Decomposition Rules.
- Develop and enhance OSM O2A PIP cartridges.
- Integrate OSM with eCRM, EAI, Metasolv, Inventory (Oracle M6), and Activation systems (Oracle IPSA).
- Implement Java-based solutions, leveraging JDBC, JMS, MDB, and Web Services (SOAP over HTTP/JMS).
- Work with XQuery, XSLT, XPath, and XML technologies to manage order processing.
- Set up OSM environments (installation, configuration, deployment).
- Handle SAF (Store and Forward) integration between OSM and external systems.
- Configure Milestones, Data Change Notifications, Rules, and Jeopardy handling.
- Support UAT, SIT, and Production environments, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
- Develop automation scripts and work on custom plugin development for OSM workflows.
- Manage and lead a team, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle OSM (preferably 6-10 years).
- Expertise in OSM 7.0.x, 7.2, or 7.3.
- Strong experience in Java 1.6+ (Java 1.8 preferred), JDBC, JMS, MDB.
- Proficiency in XML, XQuery, XSLT, XPath, SOAP-based Web Services.
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic 10.x or higher.
- Strong database skills in Oracle 11gR2 or later.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments (Solaris, HP-UX, RHEL, etc.).
- Familiarity with OSM Design Studio for developing OSM cartridges.
- Exposure to OSM migration (version upgrades, environment transitions).
- Version control tools such as CVS, SVN, or Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex OSM workflows.
