Program Lead - Climate Resilience

Job Profile:

We are seeking a Program Lead - Climate Resilience to lead our climate risk analysis efforts and support our climate resilience initiatives. This role involves collaborating with experts to develop methodologies for evaluating climate risks and driving policies that align with Lodhas sustainability objective of resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Climate Data Analysis: Development and Utilization of tools to understand physical climate risks and data in such a manner that ensures robust infrastructure design by anticipating and adapting to future climate conditions.
• Methodology Development: Collaborate with experts to identify and develop effective methodologies for evaluating climate risks associated with urban development and expansion.
• Adaptation and Mitigation: Collaborate with master planners, architects, and design consultants to identify opportunities for adapting to and mitigating physical climate risks. Propose commercially viable strategies supported by cost-benefit analyses, and drive the creation of internal policies that leverage climate data to make the projects resilient to climate change.
• Policy Development: Demonstrate impact and be a thought leader by offering these as templates to urban local bodies (ULBs), policy makers and government entities to promote sustainable, climate resilient urban practices.
• Disclosures: Lead the preparation of climate-related disclosures, conducting climate risk and opportunity analyses to align with ESG standards.
• Collaboration and Influence: Engage with external partners and stakeholders to share best practices, influence industry standards, and advocate for responsible development practices.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging trends and methodologies in climate resilience and sustainability to enhance Lodhas practices continually.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Masters degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a leading Indian or global institution.
• Proven experience in climate risk analysis, data modeling, and sustainability initiatives.
• Strong technical competence in climate impact on and due to urbanization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
