Assistant Manager - Indirect Taxation

This position will be responsible for providing in-house tax consulting to various business teams covering wholesale and retail business, including liaising with the various stakeholders within India and Global tax teams.

Candidate should have in-depth tax technical knowledge with experience evaluating and advising business initiatives.

• Ensuring Indirect tax compliance under all applicable tax laws in India, SEA and KSA.
• Researching Indian GST and other indirect tax issues - working with taxing authorities and external advisers.
• Developing and evaluating GST and other indirect tax planning opportunities and strategies.
• Developing operational implementation work plans supporting tax planning opportunities.
• Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential future indirect tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures, and court decisions.
• Continues monitoring of applicability of various regulatory requirements.
• Work with tech teams ensure adequate information is being recorded in the systems as may be required for the purpose of Tax compliance, audit and litigation.
• Handling various Audits like Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, GST Audit, Due Diligence
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement and Vendor Managers team
• Effective Team management & coordination

Skills And Expertise

• Degree in law or accounting - chartered/cost accountant (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in indirect taxes with public accounting firm or in industry.
