Job purpose:
- We are looking for an individual with solid quantitative and data analytics mindset. This position reports to the Manager and interacts with multiple stakeholders within the firm.
- The candidate should possess strong critical thinking skills, communication skills, excellent attention to detail, good time management skills and the ability to execute/deliver deliverables on time in a dynamic team environment.
- The candidate shall receive training on any proprietary applications. This role will provide ample challenging opportunities, help grow skill sets with new assignments, and provide direct interaction platform with leadership.
Key job responsibilities:
- Assist with 360-degree financial planning and the process of budgeting
- Assist team leader(s) and own the activities listed below:
- Work with business leadership to provide strategic guidance on the performance of various ongoing projects and initiatives
- Build easy-to-understand financial models to support/drive financial planning, budgeting, tracking, and forecasting
- Assist leadership with the necessary financial direction and recommendations that meet the future vision of the business
- Prepare financial summaries/dashboards/reports/presentations for business leadership and other stakeholders; respond to audit queries
- Gather comprehensive financial knowledge and background to effectively discuss/escalate issues with respective teams and leadership
- Establish financial governance, internal controls and streamline processes to prevent inaccuracies
- Process and submit invoices, track receivables
- Track contracts and work with concerned stakeholders for renewals on an ongoing basis
- Track expenses hitting the business, proactively flag issues/concerns to stakeholders and track for closure
- Respond to stakeholders queries and make sure issues are resolved on time
- Help drive compliance with the financial and contracting guidelines, firm time and expense reporting policies, and regulatory requirements across the team
Education/Background:
- Postgraduate with a degree in Business, Finance, or a related subject and / or equivalent knowledge and expertise achieved through work experience
Key skills desired:
Must have:
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial planning and modeling, and analysis is required
- Strategic and detail-oriented mindset while working on financial reporting deliverables
- Strong experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel certification and PowerPoint skills is a must
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, decision making and analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment where projects, and deadlines often require multi-tasking and flexible work schedules
- Ability to simplify and present the financial information to stakeholders who are not close to the field of finance
- Work with minimal supervision on level appropriate projects/tasks and deliver high quality work on time
- Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and in a virtual environment across cultures globally
- Willingness to stretch when needed to meet deadlines
Good to have:
- Proficiency in working on any leading financial system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
