JOB PROFILE



REPORTING TO: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Manager Restaurant/ Supervisor

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction. Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages. Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons.

Job Aims
To establish and maintain high standards of quality service, guest relations and meet the required revenue target within the respective outlet.
Accountabilities:
Operational Responsibility:

  • Be always attentive to any upselling opportunities during the operation.
  • Ensure that your Opening, Closing and Operational duties are always completed.
  • Always maintain a positive and full of energy attitude.
  • Ensure that the company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations are respected.
  • Optimize all products and equipment to reduce costs.
  • Responsible on greeting and escort customers to their tables
  • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., About portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses
  • Inform customers about the days specials & Offer menu recommendations upon request
  • Take accurate food and drinks orders by order slip & Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
  • Serve food and drink orders
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
  • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
  • Deliver checks and collect bill payments
  • Carry plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
  • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations
  • Follow all relevant health department regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests



Organizing & Managing:

  • Maintain a positive and full of energy attitude at all time
  • Keep track on the reservations, acknowledging all relevant information prior opening
  • Ensure that Opening, Closing and Operational duties are completed every day
  • Update and implement procedures and strategies to improve the efficiency of the service
  • Ensure the Guest data is recorded, analyzed, and delivered to maintain a clean and accurate database
  • Attend trainings requested by Management to meet the Company Standards

Guests Experience:

  • Follow up with Guests to ensure satisfaction with service.
  • Advise customers on choices, promoting the sales of items we are most interested to sell.
  • Respond and handle customer complaints promptly and professionally ensuring Guests perceive the outcome as satisfactory.
  • Have a good knowledge about our regular customers, especially our premium ones to improve their comfort at the venue.
  • Contribute to generate an ideal atmosphere of engagement for the Guests and work for your colleagues.


Reporting Activity:

  • Maintain an efficient communication with your manager in all channels possible and as often as necessary, ensuring he/she is aware of guest feedbacks and anything of interest.
  • Fulfill all duties and instructions given by your manager.
