Assistant Vice President - IT operations

Role & responsibilities

Linedata Services is seeking a AVP of IT operations to own application support, site reliability , infrastructure and data flow monitoring responsibilities . The person will be responsible for leading a team of technical experts and ensuring that the company's IT systems and applications are fully operational and aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the performance, security, and reliability of our technology infrastructure, while ensuring the availability and stability of all applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the application support, SRE, and monitoring teams to ensure high-quality services are delivered to clients.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance, security, and reliability of our technology infrastructure.
• Ensure that all applications and services are available, stable and reliable, with minimal downtime.
• Develop, implement and maintain IT policies, procedures and standards to ensure the security and integrity of data and systems.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecast expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness in all IT operations.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring that all systems and applications are backed up and can be quickly restored in case of any failure.
• Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to identify new opportunities for technology innovation and enhancement.
• Develop and implement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all IT services, ensuring that they align with the company's business objectives and client needs.
• Monitor SLAs and ensure that they are met or exceeded, taking corrective action where necessary.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that SLAs are regularly reviewed and updated to meet changing business needs.
• Develop and maintain a metrics-driven approach to IT service delivery, using data to identify areas for improvement and to drive performance and efficiency.
• Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting areas of concern or success, and making recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are understood and that IT services are delivered in line with their expectations.
• Implement best practices and industry standards to ensure the quality and reliability of IT services, with a focus on meeting SLAs and delivering value to the business.
• Ensure that the groups IT infrastructure and applications are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role including managing SLA driven team.
• Demonstrated experience in managing application support, SRE, infrastructure and monitoring teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and standards.
• Strong project management skills and experience in managing budgets.
• Experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
