Roles & Responsibilities:

System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• System Monitoring and Support: Assist in monitoring and maintaining IT systems, including servers, network devices, and user workstations.
• Troubleshooting: Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and networking issues. Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff.
• User Support: Help set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords. Assist with the configuration of workstations, printers, and other peripherals for employees.
• System Maintenance: Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks like software updates, patches, and backups

Network and System Configuration:

• Network Management: Support the team in configuring and maintaining the companys network, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• System Configuration: Assist in configuring servers, workstations, and IT equipment according to company policies.
• Documentation of Network and System Changes: Help document any changes to the network or systems for reference and compliance.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaboration with IT Staff: Work closely with the senior IT team to understand and complete assigned tasks.
• Team Meetings: Participate in IT team meetings to stay updated on ongoing tasks and projects.
• Communication with Users: Provide clear and concise support to non-technical staff members for basic troubleshooting and setup issues.

Documentation

• Document IT Processes: Help maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
• Issue Tracking: Document issues and resolutions in a ticketing system, ensuring that all technical support requests are tracked and resolved promptly.

Continuous Learning and Development

• Skill Development: Engage in continuous learning about IT systems, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
• Mentorship: Seek guidance from senior IT staff to improve your knowledge of IT systems and administration.
• Certifications and Training: Take the opportunity to pursue certifications in networking, system administration, and cloud technologies (e.g., CompTIA, AWS).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc., is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.e & responsibilities
