About the Team & Role:
The Engineer/Sr. Engineer (Supervisor) within the New Product Development (NPD) Frames Department will
play a pivotal role in the design, development, and production of new eyewear frames. The incumbent will
work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, tooling, and production, to ensure that new
frame designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements while maintaining high manufacturing
standards.
To Succeed in this role, you should have the following:
PG Diploma / Bachelor’s in Product Tool Design / Product Design
3 to 5 years of experience in New Product Development
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a results-oriented mind set.
Effective communication and team management skills.
You will be responsible for:
Lead and support the development of new eyewear frame designs, including conducting feasibility
studies and collaborating with design and production teams.
Coordinate and oversee the creation of tooling for new products in line with specifications and
design requirements.
Work with the production team to implement new processes and tools, ensuring smooth integration
of new products into the production line.
Communicate and collaborate with external suppliers or vendors to ensure timely delivery of tooling
and materials.
Ensure that new products meet Lenskart's quality standards and customer expectations, conducting
regular quality checks and testing on prototypes and initial production batches.
Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization and cost-saving
opportunities in new product development.
