Manager - NPI & Process Engineering (ISG)

About the Role: Lenovo is looking for skilled NPI Leader with strong Server , Storage Products expertise in Manufacturing readiness, Process Engineering, TTM , Tools & Jigs, ELP process. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and optimizing NPI process, solutions, Product Validation, Technical support, Local build support for a variety of cutting-edge technologies, including high-performance and AI servers by strong network with Lenovo Global Development / NPI/ Engineering and Product BU

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and Scheduling : Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for new product launches. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and timely execution. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and meet Time to Market
• Product Readiness: Ensure product designs meet specifications and are manufacturable if not organize the Tools / Jigs for Ship Support run. Ensure all necessary documentation, including design specifications, test plans, quality plan and manufacturing special instructions etc. do assessment for special process, resources assessment if any for distinct product
• Manufacturing Readiness: Co-ordinate with ME / TE / IE / Production / Quality / CMI team to Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Implement quality control measures in line with quality plan to ensure products meet required standards and specifications
• Launch and Post-Launch Support: Develop and execute launch plans, including production ramp-up, inventory management, and distribution strategies. NPI RoadMap, On Time TTM as Per Biz Need. Coordinate with WW Dev / WW NPI / BU / ME / TE / Procurement / OE / Production / Quality for Successful Production Launch
• Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from initial production runs ( NPI build, SVT, SOVP) and identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Release NPI issue tracker and drive effective CAPA from SS team for SS and Ramp up phase issues. Digital Transformation for high level productivity, efficient, real time data in NPI process

• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on project progress, performance metrics, and post-launch analysis, Product wise CA analysis

Basic Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field relevant to the server industry, with an emphasis on manufacturing and Engineering / RD.
• Experience : 8+ years Proven experience in Server manufacturing engineering / Desing, Server Manufacturing
• Technical Skills :
  • Server Product knowledge, Latest technology chipset/ Platform/ Architecture
  • Product design, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes.
  • BOM (Bill of Material) structure, BOM creation, Engineering Change (ECN)/ Process Change (PCN)
  • Product design, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes
  • DFX, DFM, DFA, NUDD, PFMEA
  • Project Management
• Analytical Abilities : Strong data analysis skills for evaluating test data and driving process improvements.
• Problem-solving : Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with the ability to provide on-site technical support.
