Associate Manager

Responsibilities:

Lead supplier development strategy, designing the metrics for the function and supplier performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive supplier quality improvements and achieve business objectives

Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP).

Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards

Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues

Review supplier manufacturing processes and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain

Review documentation of inspection results across all areas. In appropriate functional areas, this refers to supporting inspection and test status requirements defined by regulations, engineering product specifications or Control Plans, PPAP approval or product warrant submission

Monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance understanding any commercial issues and impacts

Manage the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Manage customer DPPM (Defect Parts per Million), supplier DPPM, supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators

Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve supplier quality and performance

Undertake personal continuous training and development

Education Qualification:

Bachelor s degree (or) higher in electrical & electronics
Additional Qualifications/Certifications: Internal Auditor QMS & EMS, ASQ Supplier Quality Professional, 6Sigma green belt, PPAP, APQP, GD&T, SPC,
Work Experience:
8+ Years of experience in the field of Supply Quality.

Functional / Technical Competencies

1. Indepth knowledge on Server product and sub parts assembly

• Assist Server system level inspection & quality report related paperwork.
• Assist server system level incoming quality control
• Assist Server system level testing & troubleshooting

2. Hands on experience in Mechanical parts manufacturing process and inspection skills

3. Chip level Knowledge on computers with basic Electronics component functions.

4. Experienced in Problem solving Tools & Techniques like [Lean 6Sigma, DOE, 8D, QC Story, A3, etc. , ]

5. Communication and interpersonal skills

6. Analytical and problem-solving ability

7. Having knowledge in Quality tools like TQM, (QFD & Quality Tools) and Lean Six sigma

8. In-depth knowledge on APQP, PPAP (PFD, FMEA, MSA, & FMA) @ Supplier end.

Manage, coach and develop a high performing Supplier Quality team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements

Provide leadership, direction, management, and development to the Supplier Engineering team

Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required

Motivate and coach the team to operational success

Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
