Radio diagnosis & imaging technician

JD for Key Responsibilities:
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Position patients properly to capture the required diagnostic images.
Imaging Equipment Operation: Operate various imaging equipment, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound machines, according to standard procedures and patient requirements. Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain proper settings for accurate imaging.
Radiologic Procedures: Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to support physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. This includes positioning patients, adjusting machines, and capturing images of specific body parts or organs.
Image Quality Assurance: Ensure that diagnostic images are of high quality, clear, and accurate. Assess images for proper exposure and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
Patient Safety & Comfort: Prioritize patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures. Follow safety protocols for radiation exposure and use protective measures, such as lead aprons and shields, to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Regularly check imaging equipment to ensure it is properly calibrated and in good working condition. Report any malfunctioning equipment and assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic images that contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging procedures performed, images captured, and any notes relevant to the diagnosis. Ensure that patient information is kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Emergency Procedures: Respond to emergencies promptly, providing necessary imaging services to support critical patient care. Assist in emergency imaging procedures when needed.
