Head (Production)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Developing detailed production plans and schedules for each Shipbuilding project, aligning with project deadlines and customer requirements.

2. Managing workflow across different production stages, including hull construction, outfitting, machinery installation and final finishing.

3. Monitoring progress against schedules and identifying potential bottlenecks to proactively address issues.

4. Allocating workforce, materials and equipment efficiency across various production areas to optimize productivity.

5. Coordinating with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials and components.

6. Managing subcontractor relationships and overseeing their work quality.

7. Implementing strict quality control procedures throughout the Shipbuilding process to meet industry standards and customer specifications.

8. Overseeing quality inspections and testing at each stage of construction.

9. Identifying and addressing quality issues promptly to prevent rework.

10. Prioritizing workplace safety by enforcing safety regulations and procedures across all shipyard operations.

11. Conducting regular safety inspections and training programs for shipyard workers.

12. Investigating and addressing safety incidents promptly.

13. Monitoring production costs and identifying areas for cost optimization.

14. Managing budgets for each shipbuilding project and ensuring adherence to financial targets.

15. Leading and motivating a team of production supervisors, foreman and skilled workers.

16. Providing clear direction and support to ensure efficient team collaboration.

17. Regularly communicating project Status updates to senior management, clients and relevant stakeholders.

18. Preparing comprehensive reports in production progress, quality metrics and cost analysis.
