Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and organized GL Assistant Manager to join our finance team at our Head Office in Kochi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring clean and accurate bookkeeping, coordinating invoice processing across departments, reviewing reconciliation reports, ensuring compliance with financial policies and controls, and supporting statutory audits and financial reporting. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting practices, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Records:
Ensure accurate and clean bookkeeping by maintaining general ledger entries.
Regularly update and reconcile accounting records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Invoice Processing:
Coordinate with different departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices.
Validate invoices to ensure that they align with purchase orders and contracts.
Reconciliation:
Review and approve monthly reconciliation reports (e.g., bank, GL, accounts payable/receivable).
Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliation.
Compliance & Financial Policies:
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, standards, and controls.
Monitor adherence to regulatory guidelines, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
Audit & Reporting Support:
Assist with statutory audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee the accuracy of GL postings and adjustments.
Ensure proper allocation of costs and timely closing of financial periods.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA in Finance or related field.
Experience:
3-6 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) is preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GL management, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
Solid understanding of reconciliation and audit processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary: ₹40,000 - ₹55,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)Role & responsibilities
