Lead - Sales/Operations Planning/Inventory Planning - B2B eCommerce Firm

Incumbent will play a crucial role in optimizing our sales & operations and inventory management processes. He/She will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing carrying costs, and ensuring timely product availability to meet customer demand. This position requires a meticulous, data-driven, and forward-thinking individual who can contribute to the success of our supply chain operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with sales and finance teams to gather input and insights for accurate demand forecasts and inventory planning

- Tracking of inventory and ensuring no stock outs by taking proactive actions and replenishment cycle

- Review material and production related challenge along with day-to-day operational challenges

- Conduct SKU wise demand analysis

- Liaison with sales team to aggregate customer wise demand, to forecast region wise demand on credit vs advance and plan inventory accordingly

- Plan for inventory liquidation for damaged inventory

- Reviewing and reconciling inventory against Open Orders

- Develop production and inventory management plans to support material requirements.

- Define reorder point, frequency of ordering, etc. for all critical SKUs.

- Build scalable tools to manage ordering process seamlessly.

- Analyze inventory movement (including incoming/outgoing shipments and transfers).

- Proactively drive actions to keep a healthy inventory position across SKUs and warehouses (T1S); Control ageing and Days on hand (DoH) inventory.

- Monitor and maintain OTIF for material to be inwarded.

- Report and communicate to sales planning team delivery expectations, solutions to risks and opportunities and driving inventory health/productivity.

- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data related to sales, inward OTIF, and inventory across various vendors and product lines, providing solutions and recommendations.

- Assist in developing and implementing inventory policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging tools to improve inventory planning processes.

- Familiarity with forecasting methods and demand planning tools is a plus.
