Job Title: Coordinator - Trims and Accessories Inventory.

Location: Kanakapura, Kanakapura Taluk, Ramanagara Dist, Karnataka.

Job Overview:

The Executive Production Planning Control will play a crucial role in assisting the planning manager with various responsibilities related to capacity planning, inventory management, production monitoring, and line planning. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who can effectively coordinate the production process, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of all trims and accessories (buttons, zippers, labels, tapes, elastics, etc.).

Monitor stock levels regularly to ensure trims are available as needed and initiate reorders timely.

Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.

Organize trims systematically for easy identification and access.

Receiving & Inspection:

Receive trims from suppliers, verifying them against purchase orders.

Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure trims meet required specifications (color, size, strength, etc.).

Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the procurement and quality control teams.

Issuance & Distribution:

Issue trims to production lines as per the bill of materials (BOM) and production schedules.

Maintain accurate records of trims issued and ensure timely delivery to avoid production delays.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure proper trims are used for each style.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain stock registers, Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), issue slips, and other inventory-related documents.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management review.

Track consumption, identify wastage, and suggest cost-saving measures.

Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with the procurement team to ensure stock levels are replenished in time.

Coordinate with the quality control team for inspections and approvals of trims.

Communicate with production managers regarding any shortages or urgent requirements.

Compliance & Housekeeping:

Ensure trims are stored under proper conditions to prevent damage or contamination.

Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with labeling and documentation standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the trims store area.

Waste & Defect Management:

Identify defective or excess trims and ensure proper segregation.

Manage the return, replacement, or disposal of unusable trims.

ERP / Software Usage (if applicable)

Update stock levels in the ERP or inventory management software.

Generate reports and track material movements digitally.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com) or Business Administration (BBA).

Prior experience in inventory management, specifically within garment manufacturing, is an added advantage.

Experience:

1–2 years of experience in inventory management or handling trims and accessories in a warehouse setting, preferably in garment manufacturing.

Languages:

Proficient in Kannada and English (both written and spoken).

Key Attributes & Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in ERP or inventory management software.
  • Basic knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and trim requirements.
  • Ability to conduct quality inspections and recognize defects in trims.
  • Experience with documentation and reporting.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various teams (procurement, production, quality control).
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to manage inventory issues proactively.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
