About the Role:
A boutique investment bank based in Bangalore is seeking a Vice President (VP) to lead deal execution, manage client and investor relationships, and mentor junior team members. This role requires strong analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and full ownership of the deal lifecycle. The VP will collaborate closely with founders, investors, and internal stakeholders to drive high value transactions while ensuring seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deal Execution:
- Lead at least three full deal cycles from sourcing to closure.
- Take full ownership of transaction deliverables, including investor decks, financial models, and data packs.
- Manage post-deal closure processes, ensuring smooth documentation and compliance.
2. Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with founders, investors, and internal teams to drive deal progression.
- Lead investor discussions, articulating business models, market positioning, and financials effectively.
- Anticipate investor concerns and proactively develop responses to ensure high-impact interactions.
3. Mentorship & Training:
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Coach team members to enhance their financial analysis, transaction structuring, and execution capabilities.
4. Due Diligence & Process Management:
- Oversee due diligence workflows, coordinating with founders, investors, and internal teams.
- Uphold SLAs and turnaround times (TATs) for investor queries and transaction deliverables.
- Ensure process efficiency, maintaining momentum and adherence to transaction timelines.
Candidate Profile:
- 6+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple deal cycles from start to finish.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with attention to data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage investor relations and deal negotiations.
- Expertise in transaction management, ensuring smooth execution under tight deadlines.
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience, with a track record of upskilling teams.
