Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute the company's long-term vision and growth strategy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support growth, profitability, and sustainability.
Fundraising and Investor Relations
- Lead capital-raising efforts, including equity and debt financing, to support the company's growth and expansion initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, and other potential investors.
- Prepare compelling financial narratives, pitch decks, and valuation models for investor presentations.
- Ensure transparent and effective communication with investors regarding the company's performance and strategic direction.
Financial Management
- Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation to optimize the company's financial health.
- Oversee cash flow management and financial risk assessments.
Operational Efficiency
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs across the organization.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and tools to support scalability.
- Evaluate and manage key investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to financial and tax regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
- Maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership
- Build, develop, and mentor the finance team to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Communicate the company's financial performance and strategy effectively to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- CA or MBA with 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in fundraising, including successful rounds with VCs, private equity, or institutional investors.
- Experience scaling businesses in high-growth environments and managing investor relations.
- Strong knowledge of corporate financial law, risk management, and best practices.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial software.
- Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
