Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the finance and accounting team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including budgeting, reporting, auditing, and compliance.
- Report directly to the Managing Director, advising on financial strategies and performance.
Financial Reporting & Decision Support:
- Generate financial performance and MIS reports, including monthly profitability, sales analysis, and cash flow reports to aid in management decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and coordinate with auditors for finalization.
- Supervise and review monthly stock valuation and inventory physical verification, reconciling discrepancies.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve business performance, profitability, and cost-efficiency.
Compliance & Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for Income Tax, GST, Professional Taxes, and other regulations.
- Oversee the filing of TDS returns (Forms 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, and 27EQ), ensuring accurate and timely submission.
- Manage indirect taxation duties, including GSTR-3B, GSTR-1 filing, and reconciliation of input tax registers.
- Review and finalize GST Annual Returns (Form 9) and manage the completion of GST Audit (Form 9C).
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
- Responsible for planning and managing cash flows to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity for operations and expansion.
- Develop and manage payment schedules for creditors and receivables collection plans based on aging analysis.
- Work closely with banks on working capital management, payment processing, and issuing Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit.
Reconciliation and Audits:
- Oversee monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and quarterly customer & vendor account reconciliation.
- Conduct regular scrutiny of ledgers, ensuring that all expenses, provisions, and prepaid expenses are correctly booked.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, resolving queries and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Payroll and Employee Taxation:
- Supervise the payroll processing in collaboration with the HR department, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
- Oversee TDS deductions for employees, ensuring compliance with tax laws on a monthly basis.
Strategic Planning & Process Improvement:
- Lead the development of business strategies around cost management, investment, and expansion based on financial insights and analysis.
- Suggest improvements to existing financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA).
Must have prepared at least 3 balance sheets for a single company.
Experience: 15+ years in Finance, Accounting, and Taxation, specifically in the manufacturing sector.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ERP systems and accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other compliance regulations.
- Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and audit processes.
- Experience with advanced license procedures for export and import, and related documentation.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and lead a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic decision-making.
- Outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
