Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Finalization of Accounts:
- Lead the preparation and finalization of financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
Expense Management:
- Monitor, record, and control expenses in alignment with company policies and accounting standards.
- Implement strategies to optimize cost management across the organization.
Audit Coordination:
- Oversee statutory and tax audits, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
- Address audit queries and implement recommendations as required.
Preparation of Annual Report:
- Prepare comprehensive annual reports, including necessary disclosures and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accuracy in financial presentation.
Accounting Policies and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and incorporate them into company practices.
Internal & External Financial Reporting:
- Manage internal financial reporting to provide timely insights to management for decision-making.
- Oversee external reporting, ensuring all regulatory filings and disclosures are accurate and compliant.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
- Audit completion without significant non-compliance or delays.
- Effective expense tracking and cost optimization.
- Compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, audits, and compliance management.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Tally, Oracle Financials) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and compliance regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of IFRS and other international accounting standards.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools.
