As an analyst/senior analyst in the ION Corporates Commodities department, you will work with Openlink s customers, financial/commodity consultants, product managers and software engineers to conceptualize, analyze and design enhancements to Openlink s software system. Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Owner:
Product owners will manage the agile team and processes. Lead a cross functional SCRUM team to deliver a usable, quality product component that solves the identified use cases and stories. Manage user stories, burn down metrics and team velocity. (40%)
To convert user requirements and functional gaps into detailed software user stories consistent with our technical architecture. (15%)
Collaborate with product managers to prioritize product requirements using financial, technical and operational parameters. (10%)
Work closely with engineering to ensure that enhancements are implemented in a proper and consistent manner. (10%)
Understand and clearly articulate product implications for current and future customer needs based on interaction with market facing product managers, sales, customers, sales prospects. (5%)
Helped create test plans for major enhancements to the software, to be used by the QA team for future regression testing. (5%)
Document major enhancements to the software, to be used by the Documentation and Training teams in the creation of user guides and training material. (10%)
For new saleable/licensable features, define licensing strategy, pricing, sales collateral and go-to-market plans. (5%)
As a Subject Matter Expert:
Subject matter experts will perform market research and analysis to define user stories. Become the owner of requirements and feature set for a sub-set of the product. (50%)
To assess the marketplace, via existing or potential clients and to identify functional gaps within the application. (10%)
Collaborate with product managers, sales, professional services, clients to translate market need product requirement / specification. (10%)
To convert user requirements and functional gaps into detailed software user stories or consistent with our technical architecture. (20%)
Document major enhancements to the software, to be used by the Documentation and Training teams in the creation of user guides and training material. (10%)

Support financial/commodity sales efforts by performing demos, workshops and responding to RFI/RFPs.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience within the financial, commodities or risk management space
First degree in business, finance, math or computers
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SalesForce)
Client facing skills
Strong computer, engineering or math background
Understanding of relational databases (e.g. Microsoft Access) and SQL
Exposure to Oracle or MS SQL
Exposure programming languages in Java/C/C++/.NET
Software Systems user or analyst with previous experience within a complex trading/risk management environment
