Job Description

Job Title: General Manager/Senior General Manager Sales & Marketing (International) (Business Head)

Reporting to: Director

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose:

To head the P& L for International business (Developed Countries)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Organisational Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Timeliness & Alignment to business growth targets, P&L management, Sales Expensing (budget Vs. actuals)

Business Development:

  • Business expansion in existing markets by market development, registering and launching new products and ensuring growth of existing product range as per corporate requirements
  • To initiate business across new geographies in developed by strategically shortlisting products/partners and business models
  • To identify and capitalize of potential acquisition opportunities in coordination with the corporate team

Sales Management:

  • Sales growth trend (% improvement in Total sales), Sales revenue (target vs. actual). Margins (target vs. actual).

Sales & Marketing Events

  • Representing the organization in exhibitions, trade shows in different countries

Inventory & logistics Management:

  • Inventory Availability (No. of delayed deliveries due to stock issues). Timely Delivery (No. of delays due to logistics issues)

Sales Team Management:

  • Leading and managing the sales team, resolving queries, problem solving tracking performance
  • Effectiveness of Incentive/ commission plans (costs & productivity)

Market Intelligence:

  • % increase in market share across region, analyzing market trends and competition to inform product development and pricing strategies

Setting pricing

  • Setting competitive prices while striving to maintain maximum profit margins

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Improved average purchase value, number of repeat orders, Customer Churn Ratio (existing customers drop out/ total customers
  • Manage internal and external customers to ensure realization of business objectives
  • Build KPPL brand as a reliable and long term player in Western Countries
  • Traveling to all countries when required for customer visits

Required Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills (Preferred/Essential)

Qualifications

BE/B.Com/BMS /BBA (Essential))

MBA /PG (Preferred)

Experience

18-20 yrs (2 yrs exp in P&L Management) Essential

Knowledge

Experience of P&L Management in Developed Countries EU, UK, US, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico) – Essential

Packaging Industry Knowledge – preferred

Experience of B2B Sales for Chemicals, Packaging, Allied industries – Essential

Prerequisite

6-7 times travel in a year to the assigned region for exhibitions, customer visit

Software Skills

CRM Software – Preferred

Soft Skills (Essential)

Good Communication & interpersonal Skills

Collaboration/communication with people of diverse backgrounds
