Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) - Offshore, Oil & Gas Projects

Location: Ulsan, Korea
Salary: USD 5,500 - USD 6,000 per month
Accommodation: Provided by the company
Leave: Two weeks of leave every 4 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets for offshore, oil & gas projects.
• Handle contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare and manage claims for variations, delays, and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Monitor and manage project costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.
• Track progress and performance of ongoing projects, addressing any discrepancies or changes to the initial scope.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective communication regarding cost control and contract issues.
• Review and assess subcontractor claims, providing recommendations for settlement.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Age: Preferably between 40 and 50 years old.
• More than 15 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, particularly in offshore and oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of contract law and claims management, with a proven track record of managing complex contracts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
