Deputy Manager /Assistant Manager- Design Department (Industrial Pump)

Role & responsibilities

1. Product Support: - Provide comprehensive product support to departments including Production, Sales, Quality Management (QM), Warranty/Customer Service, and Purchasing. Address product-related issues and queries to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

2. SAP Management: - Handle all SAP-related activities including maintaining material master data, creating SAP codes, and preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for industrial pumps within stipulated lead times. Ensure data accuracy and timely updates to support production and procurement processes.

3. Cost Reduction and Standardization: -Support Product Managers in initiatives related to cost reduction, product standardization, and enhancing additional technical features. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.

4. RFM Activities: - Support RFM-related activities through conducting trials, follow-ups, and providing feedback. Ensure successful implementation and continuous improvement of processes and products.

5. Feasibility Studies: -Assist the Product Manager in conducting feasibility studies for the introduction or localization of new products. Analyse technical and market data to support informed decision-making.

6. Value Engineering: - Contribute to PMPS activities such as value engineering, PR generation, and IDEA management. Provide innovative solutions and product support to enhance overall value and performance.

Internal Audits: -Conduct internal audits for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and BS/OHSAS 45001:2018 compliance according to plant requirements. Identify areas for improvement and ensure that corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Preferred candidate profile

• DME / BE Mechanical Engineering
• Product and Pump Knowledge: - Understanding of product and pump specifications, as well as manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical Seals and Pump Application: - Knowledge and experience in the application of mechanical seals and pumps.
• Drawing Interpretation and Cost Estimation:- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and conducting accurate cost estimations.

Accuracy in Work:- Ensuring precision and correctness in all tasks and deliverables.
