Assistant Manager- Design (Submersible Pump)

Role & responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-6 years of experience in submersible pump industry.

1. Collaborate with Product Managers to identify opportunities for cost reduction, standardization, and technical feature enhancements.

2. Generate engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GD&T standards.

3. Assist and coordinate with designers and engineers.

4. Calculate dimensions and allowances with precision.

5. Updating, Revising and Archiving the documents / drawings

6. Bill of Material preparation in SAP

Provide technical support to the sales team, including product specifications and customization options

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge about submersible pump
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
• Product and Manufacturing Process
• Drawing reading and costing / estimation.
• Design and development know how
• Well versed with ISO, ANSI, ASTM, DIN, standards & specifications.
• Knowledge of pump and related components
• Proficiency in AUTO CAD / UNIGRAPHICS
• Good knowledge of drawings, modelling, GD&T etc
• Knowledge of SAP-MM Module, Microsoft Office
