Role & responsibilities

Installation and Configuration:
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.
Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
Automate system administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM
Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.
Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.
Added basic knowledge on Windows Group Policy Administration, Domain Controller, DHCP and DNS, Checking the AD health Etc.

Troubleshooting: troubleshoot and resolve the incidents reported in Server Hardware/Software. This includes Physical and virtual servers.
Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management.
Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet, is a plus
Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is advantageous

PMS: Perform PMS of Linux Servers as per the PMS schedules and ensure its accuracy

Daily Checklist: Perform daily checklist activities as per the duty schedule

-Linux Server Performance optimization and fine tuning

-Evaluates equipment and software capability & makes technical recommendations

-Performs backup and restores

- Extracts Server resource utilization stats and reports as and when requested by vertical head or higher manager

- Guide L1/L2 engineers whenever required in troubleshooting and resolving basic tickets like user creation /password reset etc

- Perform System Audit

Preferred candidate profile

* 4-8 years of experience in Linux administration

* Linux certification is a plus

* Good communication skills.
