Position Overview:

The General Manager - Finance will be responsible for managing all financial planning, accounting, and reporting functions of the organization. This leadership role ensures the financial health of the company, supports strategic financial decisions, and fosters a strong financial control environment. The GM Finance will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the companys business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support overall business objectives.
• Lead the finance department, providing direction, mentorship, and leadership to the finance team.
• Advise the executive team and board of directors on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and financial performance.

Budgeting & Financial Planning:

• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Monitor budget performance to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare projections, financial ratios, and other management reports for banks and stakeholders.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements such as tax filings, audits, and reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory bodies, investors, and internal stakeholders.

Cost Control & Profitability:

• Implement cost control measures to enhance financial performance.
• Review and analyze financial performance across departments to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize resource utilization to maximize profitability.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

• Monitor and manage the companys cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
• Oversee treasury operations, including investments, banking relationships, and working capital management.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with external auditors, banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Communicate financial performance to key stakeholders, including the executive team and board members.
• Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and negotiate funding arrangements when necessary.

Desired Profile:

• Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed college/university.
• Experience: For CA candidates: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management. For MBA Finance candidates: 10-12 years of experience in financial management.
• Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proven track record in strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. Experience in managing audits, financial compliance, and risk management. Proficiency in financial software. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. High ethical standards and integrity. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
