Job Summary:
- We seek a dynamic and results-driven General Manager for Retail Sales to lead our cutlery and kitchen appliances sales operations.
- The successful candidate will oversee the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of our retail sales channels, both direct and indirect.
- This position will involve managing a diverse team, building strong relationships with key retail partners, and ensuring that sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- The General Manager will be integral to shaping the company's retail strategy and driving long-term growth.
Expectations from the candidates:
- Candidate needs to have- experience in national role of Sales and Business Development.
- Should be well-versed in the India topography.
- Great exposure in the- retail business.
- Should have relations with all key dealers.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive retail sales strategy that aligns with the overall company objectives.
- Lead retail sales teams to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the retail sales team to meet key business goals.
Retail Partnerships & Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and national distributors, including large retail chains, specialty stores, and online platforms.
- Negotiate and secure favorable terms, agreements, and contracts with retailers.
Revenue Growth & Profitability:
- Drive revenue growth across retail channels through effective sales planning, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
- Optimize product assortments and pricing to maximize profitability, considering market trends and customer demands.
Market Analysis & Trend Identification:
- Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure retail product offerings align with consumer preferences.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Develop accurate sales forecasts for retail channels and monitor performance against targets.
- Regularly report sales performance, key achievements, and action plans to senior management.
Team Development & Performance Management:
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations for the retail sales team.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, logistics, product development, and other departments to ensure the timely delivery of products and effective promotion of new launches.
Customer Satisfaction & Brand Loyalty:
- Work to improve customer satisfaction through better product availability, service quality, and customer support at the retail level.
- Ensure brand consistency and high standards of customer experience at all touchpoints.
