Role Overview:
The Vice President of Operations (VP Operations) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of Kimirica Hunter International. This leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling business operations, ensuring supply chain efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The VP will partner with senior leadership to execute the company's strategic objectives while maintaining the highest standards of product quality, cost management, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee all operational activities across production, distribution, and logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment to drive improvements in productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Design and execute performance metrics to assess and improve operational performance.
Supply Chain Management:
- Ensure the seamless flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers, with an emphasis on optimizing the supply chain for cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Establish relationships with key suppliers and partners to enhance supply chain resilience and negotiate favorable contracts.
- Continuously monitor and improve inventory management practices to reduce excess stock and prevent shortages.
Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and executing opportunities for optimization within existing processes.
- Evaluate the performance of all operational units and develop improvement strategies as necessary.
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage the annual operational budget, ensuring financial goals are met while optimizing spending across operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high product quality and service standards.
- Oversee inventory control processes, cost management, and asset management across the business.
- Collaboration with Senior Leadership
- Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and execute the company's strategic goals and business plans.
- Contribute to the company's long-term vision, ensuring operational capabilities align with future growth opportunities.
- Report on operational performance, key initiatives, and projects to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Team Management and Development
- Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
- Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members, ensuring strong succession planning.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to operational leaders.
- Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure all operational activities are conducted in accordance with industry regulations, quality standards, and corporate policies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role within a manufacturing or consumer goods company.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale operations, including managing multiple departments, teams, and geographical locations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, production processes, logistics, and quality assurance.
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change at scale.
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing competing priorities effectively.
