Role Overview:
As the Head of Distribution Channel, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the company's distribution network. This pivotal role requires an experienced leader with extensive knowledge in dealing with distributors who cater to hotels and the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in establishing strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and optimizing distribution operations to ensure seamless supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Network Expansion
- Develop and implement a robust distribution strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Identify and onboard new distributors specializing in hotel supply.
- Expand the company's reach into untapped markets within the hospitality sector.
Distributor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to maximize profitability.
- Monitor distributor performance and address gaps to ensure delivery excellence.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue through effective distributor partnerships.
- Set sales targets and support distributors in achieving them through training and resources.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align distributor activities with promotional campaigns.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Ensure timely and efficient supply of products to distributors.
- Work closely with internal teams to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.
- Address and resolve distribution bottlenecks to maintain service levels.
Market Analysis & Competitor Insights:
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the distribution strategy.
- Keep abreast of industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of distribution and logistics professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the team.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards and company policies.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 9 years in a senior distribution role within the hospitality sector. Prior experience in dealing with distributors supplying to hotels is a must.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. MBA preferred.
Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of hotel supply dynamics, distributor management, and logistics operations.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
