Job Summary:
The Facility Manager at Kidzonia International Preschools will be responsible for overseeing the setup of new branches , managing facility maintenance , ensuring housekeeping standards , and handling overall administrative coordination for Pune city operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, facility management expertise, vendor coordination, and operational oversight to maintain high safety and hygiene standards across all centers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure New Branch Setup
  • Oversee the setup of new Kidzonia branches , ensuring timely execution of construction, renovation, and interior fit-outs.
  • Work closely with contractors, vendors, and architects to ensure design compliance with preschool standards.
  • Ensure necessary government approvals and licenses are in place for new branches.
  • Manage procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) for new centers.
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new center handover and setup.
2. Facility Maintenance Repairs
  • Ensure regular maintenance of existing centers , including plumbing, electrical, and civil works.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all centers.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are met.
  • Maintain an inventory of repair materials, equipment, and vendor contracts .
  • Handle emergency repair needs and coordinate with vendors for quick resolution.
3. Housekeeping Hygiene Management
  • Ensure all Kidzonia centers maintain high cleanliness and sanitation standards .
  • Supervise housekeeping staff , ensuring compliance with hygiene protocols.
  • Monitor the quality and usage of cleaning supplies , ensuring cost-effective procurement.
  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure centers follow hygiene SOPs.
4. Vendor Procurement Management
  • Identify and manage vendors for housekeeping, security, furniture, maintenance, and fit-out projects .
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize costs and quality.
  • Ensure timely supply of materials to all centers while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Build long-term partnerships with reliable service providers.
5. Safety Compliance Management
  • Implement fire safety, electrical safety, and emergency evacuation plans at all centers.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure all centers comply with health safety regulations, local municipal laws, and education board guidelines .
  • Train staff on emergency response protocols and first aid procedures .
6. Administrative Coordination for Pune Operations
  • Act as the administrative point of contact for all Kidzonia centers in Pune.
  • Coordinate with the Operations and Academic teams to ensure smooth preschool functioning.
  • Manage the transport, security, and logistics arrangements for all centers.
  • Track and manage utility expenses (electricity, water, etc) to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Handle documentation and record-keeping related to facility management.
7. Cost Budget Management
  • Develop and manage the facility budget for all Pune centers .
  • Track maintenance and operational costs , identifying areas for cost reduction.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Operations and Finance teams on facility expenses.
8. Staff Management Training
  • Supervise housekeeping, security, and facility maintenance staff .
  • Conduct regular training on facility upkeep, hygiene standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) in facility management.
Technical Operational Expertise:
Strong knowledge of facility management, infrastructure setup, and maintenance .
Experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems .
Knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and cost control .
Familiarity with government regulations and safety compliance standards for schools.
Leadership People Management:

Ability to lead housekeeping, maintenance, and facility staff across multiple locations.
Strong decision-making skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
Ability to handle multiple projects and ensure operational efficiency.

Communication Coordination:

Excellent coordination skills to liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal teams .
Strong negotiation skills for vendor contracts and procurement deals.
Ability to communicate effectively with school leadership and center teams .
Qualifications Experience:
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Facility Management, Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field .
  • Certifications in Fire Safety, Hygiene Management, or Facility Administration will be an advantage.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility/administration management in a school or educational institution .
  • Prior experience in handling multi-location facility operations is preferred
